Our vision

Founded in 2015 in the charming north Bohemian village of Loužnice, Modrá sova z.s. is a nonprofit English-language learning center with an onsite English library.

We are dedicated to sparking enthusiasm for learning the language that has become the global lingua franca. We understand that mastering English opens up a world of opportunities and possibilities.

We provide group and individual lessons for all ages — from preschoolers to adults — with native English speakers who are also bilingual or fluent in Czech. Our occasional special events for the public in English or bilingual formats introduce anglophone culture and customs with the aim of fostering connections among people in the region.

Above all, Modrá sova z.s. aspires to make a meaningful contribution to the community that has been our second home for the past quarter-century.
